- drawn 2 hrs after glucose load of 75g
- >140 & <199= pre-diabetes
- > or = 200= diabetes
HbA1C (glycosylated hemoglobin A1C)
- glucose attaches to Hgb and remains attached to RBC for its lifespan
- measures glucose control for previous 90-120 days
- Goal: 6.5% to 7%

- Urine-check for proteins & ketones
- Kidney function tests
- BMI- concern with >25
