Paramedic Pharmacology

  1. Morphine dose for chest pain.

    2-5 Mg SIVP increments up to 10 Mg if systolic is >90

    0.5 Mg RIVP. MR q3-5 for max total of 3Mg.

    2.5 - 5 Mg IVP over 2-3 minutes. MR double dose in 15-20 minutes. Max of 20 Mg.

  7. Cardioversion dosages for Wide Complex Tachycardia
    100, 120 150, 200 J
  8. Lidocaine dosage for Wide Complex Tachycardia Post-conversion
    1.0 - 1.5 Mg/kg IVP post-conversion to NSR.
  9. Lidocaine dosage for Stable VTach

    PTC?
    1.0 - 1.5 mg/kg IVP. MR q 5-10 at 1/2 initial dose to max of 3mg/kg

    PTC: NO
  10. Arrest dose for Amiodarone

    PTC?
    • 300 Mg IV/IO push. Follow with10-20 cc flush
    • Repeat at 150 Mg followed by 10 - 20 cc flush

    PTC: YES
  11. Arrest dose for Sodium Bicarb.

    PTC?
    1 Meq/Kg IVP

    PTC: NO
  12. SQ Epinephrine dose for allergic reaction

    PTC?
    0.01 Mg/Kg SQ 1:1000. Max dose 0.5 Mg

    PTC: YES
  13. Midazolam dose for Status Sz.

    PTC?
    • 2 Mg SIVP/IO. Add'l doses titrated to SZ control 1 Mg increments to max of 5 Mg.
    • OR
    • 2 Mg IN
    • OR
    • 5 Mg IN if no IV or IO

  14. Narcan dose for status seizure.
    1 - 2 Mg IN/IVP/IO. MR in 2 Mg increments up to 10 Mg.
