Adult male-300-500 ml and adult female 250; average per day of 1000-1500 ml
There should be an hourly urine output of?

70 ml and this reflects adequate kidney perfusion
Each patient should void

At least every 8 hours
What is pyuria?
Casts occur in the presence of

bacteria or protein and indicate urinary stones or renal disease
Red blood cells in urine may indicate

a stone, tumor, glomerular disorder, cystitis, or bleeding disorder
Bilirubin in urine suggests

liver disease or obstruction of the bile duct
