Postural Hypotension
Uncorrected Hypovolemia
Sublingual Adult Dosage
1 Tablet (0.3 - 0.4 mg) at 5min intervals to a maximum of 3 doses
Translingual Spray Adult Dose
1 (0.4mg) spray at 5min intervals to a max of 3
Ointment Adult Dose
2% topical (Nitro-Bid ointment); Apply 1-2 inches over chest wall, cover with transparent wrap and secure with tape
IV Bolus Adult Dose
12.5 - 25mcg
IV Infusion Adult Dose
5mcg/min
May increase by 5 to 10mcg/min every 5-10 minutes
End points of dose titration for nitroglycerin
Drop in blood pressure of 10%
Relief of Chest Pain
Return of ST segment to normal on a 12 lead ECG
IV Infusion Pediatric Dose
0.25 - 0.5mcg/kg/min
IO Infusion Pediatric Dose
0.5 - 1mcg/kg/min
Usual required IO Pediatric dose
1 - 3mcg
