    This drug blocks teh effects of the vagus nerve.
    It is the first drug for symptomatic sinus bradycardia
    Also drug for 1st & 2nd degree block
    The second drug after epi for asystole
    Atropine
  3. You can give this IV push for cardiac arrest
    It may produce vasodilation, hypotension, may have neg inotropic effects
    It affects sodium, potassium, & calcium channels
    Adverse effect: skin turns blue!!!
    Has EXTREMELY LONG 1/2 life (last up to 40 days)
    Amioderone
  4. For cardiac arrest: torsade de points, hypomagneesemia
    For refractory vfib (after lidocaine)
    For life threatening ventricular arrhythmias from dig tox
    WATCH OUT FOR:
    Occasional fall in BP w/ rapid administration.
    Use w/ caution in renal failure
    Magnesium
